10cupsbread cubesdried
1stickunsalted butter
1medium oniondiced
1 ½cupsdiced celeryapprox. 4 ribs
1teaspoonkosher salt
1teaspoonpoultry seasoning
1 - 2cupschicken broth
¼cupchopped parsley
1teaspoonfreshly ground black pepper
Instructions
Add butter to a large deep non-stick skillet or saucepan and melt over medium heat. Stir in onions, celery, salt, and poultry seasoning. Cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in 1 cup of broth and bring to a boil.
Turn the heat to low and add dried bread cubes stirring to combine. Add additional broth as needed.
Stir in parsley, cover, and remove from the heat. Let the stuffing rest 10 minutes.
Remove the lid and serve.
Notes
If desired, after removing the lid, turn heat back on to medium-high and cook until the stuffing browns, about 5 minutes.Stuffing can also be prepared ahead of time, placed in a casserole dish and baked.
