Tips & Tricks

  • Always preheat the air fryer. Most small to medium-sized air fryers require only 3 minutes to preheat, while large or oven-sized fryers require 5 minutes.
  • To ensure bagels are of uniform sizes, use a kitchen scale to measure the divided dough.
  • Don’t forget the hole! The hole is necessary for even baking, so make sure the center edges do not touch.
  • Don’t crowd the air fryer basket. Leave at least an inch between the bagels and cook in batches if necessary.
  • Store tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to a week, and in the freezer for up to 3 months.
  • Toast bagels from frozen in the air fryer for 5-6 minutes at 350°F. Do not thaw before air frying.
