Homemade Air Fryer Hamburger Patties
- This air fryer hamburger patty recipe is perfect for busy weeknight dinners without heating up the oven or the grill!
- Kids love how fast and fresh homemade hamburgers are and can even help make them in the air fryer!
- All-purpose patties can be made into appetizer meatballs or juicy burgers. They can even be chopped up and added to spaghetti sauce.
Fresh & Flavorful Ingredients
Ground Beef – Use a fattier blend like 90/10 for a juicier burger, but ground chicken, turkey, and even pork can be mixed in if desired.
Seasoning – Panko breadcrumbs and an egg work as a binder and keep the burgers extra moist. Spice ‘em up with some homemade Cajun seasoning.
Variations – Swipe a little BBQ sauce or teriyaki sauce over the tops of the burgers for a nice, tasty glaze!
How Long to Cook Hamburger Patties in the Air Fryer
Leave it to the air fryer to get hot and fresh patties ready in minutes with minimal mess! Depending on the size of your patties, burgers take more or less time. Medium sized patties that are about 1 inch thick, like the ones in this recipe, (see below) will take about 10-12 minutes.
Tips for Juicy Hamburger Patties
- Always check with the user guide for your air fryer for additional information on times and temperatures for making hamburger patties.
- Press your thumb into the center of each patty before cooking to keep them from puffing up in the center.
- Keep leftover burgers in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Freeze raw and assembled or cooked and cooled patties in zippered bags for up to two months with pieces of parchment paper between them to keep them from sticking together. Reheat leftovers in the air fryer from fresh or frozen.
