2 pounds ground chuck ( I like to use 93/7 because it’s lower in calories but if you like juicer burgers use 80/20)
½ cup Panko breadcrumbs
1 large egg
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
Crushed Saltine Crackers: If you are out of bread crumbs, crushed saltine crackers work great to bind the burger patties.
Mustard: If you aren’t a fan of Worcestershire sauce, you can get a similar zing by adding a tsp of yellow mustard.

How to Make Air Fryer Hamburgers
With just a few simple steps, you’ll have perfectly fried hamburgers or cheeseburgers in no time at all.
Step 1: Mix the ingredients
Grab a large bowl and mix together all of the ingredients until just combined.
Step 2: Form the hamburger patties
Form hamburger patties into about 6 ounce portions (about a half inch thick). Make a small indent with you thumb in the middle of the patty. This will ensure the internal temperature is consistent throughout the whole patty. At this point you can either air fry these right away or freeze them for future use.
Step 3: Air fry the burgers
Spray the cooking basket with nonstick cooking spray and place the hamburger patties into the basket. Fry hamburgers at 360 degrees for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes pull the hamburgers out and flip them over and cook for an additional 2 to 4 minutes until desired doneness. If you are making cheeseburgers, you can add cheese slices when you flip the burgers.
Variations / Options / Add-Ins
Mustard: If you are looking to change up the flavor try mixing in a tablespoon of yellow or spicy mustard into the meat mixture.
Liquid Smoke: For a on the grill smoky flavor, add a dash of liquid smoke to your mixture.
When it comes to good toppings for your air fryer hamburgers, the sky is the limit. You can go traditional with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles or get creative. Cheese is optional, but usually a popular burger topping. If you are looking to change it up a bit you can use a combination of different toppings like basil, fresh mozzarella and a little tomato sauce.
These hamburgers are best served warm and pretty quickly right after they’re removed from the air fryer.
For perfect hamburger portions, use a 5cm ice cream scoop.
If you chose to freeze the burger mixture, you can cook the frozen burger patties for a minute or two more before you flip them.
If you like you hamburgers a little more medium or medium rare, you can reduce the cook time by a minute.
How to store Air Fryer Hamburger
If you have leftovers, just add them to an airtight container and keep them chilled in the fridge. They really aren’t that great frozen when they are already cooked, they get kind of dry when you reheat them. Your best bet would be to freeze the uncooked meat and cook it when you are ready.
Cooking raw vs. frozen hamburger patties in an air fryer
When you are cooking raw hamburger, you can cook it based on the timing in the instructions and adjusting a minute plus or minus based on your preference of doneness. When you are cooking frozen patties, make sure they aren’t too thick! They won’t cook correctly if they are very thick in the center. Cooking from frozen is going to require and additional minute or two
